Digital Storytelling…It’s Elementary

Essential Question: What technology tools do we have available to help our students improve their reading ability and help teachers engage 21st century learners?

This professional development will be a process meeting 4 times during the school year. We will learn about digital tools such as Microsoft PhotoStory, MixBook, and VoiceThread. You will also be responsible for outside assignments and will have your Instructional Technology Facilitator available to help every step of the way.

Our learning is guided by both the NETS for Teachers and NETS for Students. NETS is the National Educational Technology Standards. The NC Standard Course of Study for Technology Skills as well as the standards for teachers are derived from NETS. Basically it is what you and your students need to know to be tech savvy.
